OTCO is a non-profit organization whose mission is to support and promote sustainable agriculture through education, research, advocacy, and certification. OTCO provides certification services for agricultural producers, product manufacturers, and other handlers of organic products. It certifies to and goes beyond USDA organic standard requirements.

The Non-GMO Project is a mission-driven nonprofit organization dedicated to building and protecting a non-GMO food supply. We do this through consumer education and outreach programs, marketing support provided to Non-GMO Project Verified brands, and training resources and merchandising materials provided to retailers.

Certified Organic requires that 95 to 99 percent of the ingredients follow the rules. -- Plants cannot be grown with synthetic pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, genetic modification, irradiation or sewage sludge. -- Animals must be raised exclusively on organic feed, have access to the outdoors, and cannot be given antimicrobial drugs or hormones. -- Producers will be inspected to make sure these practices are being followed to the letter.
